California is the second largest cement producing state in the United States. Because all cement used in California must achieve net zero emissions by 2045 at the latest, solutions must be found.
To reach this objective, one way is to use less clinker in cement by replacing it with lower carbon alternatives or to change the design of the concrete mix by replacing cement with supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs).
At Nanogence, we can use our catalysts to reduce the amount of clinker in cement or to replace cement in concrete while maintaining/improving the properties, thereby decarbonizing cement and concrete.
